Dashboard

Your dashboard is the starting point for every project. This article matches the in-app tour - start with the welcome card and move down through the trial counter and the four core workflows.
Your starting point
The welcome card is the front door of Capsiynau. The primary action drops you straight into the upload flow so you can caption your first recording without hunting for a button.
- Upload audio or video - MP3, WAV, MP4, MOV and most common formats are supported.
- Files upload directly from your browser to secure storage - large files do not pass through our servers.
- Once a recording exists, the welcome card hands over to the regular dashboard with your project list.
Free tier and trial progress
New accounts start on the free tier with 15 minutes of caption time as a trial allowance. Once you cross 15 minutes the trial unlocks live captions and document translation as a free taster - no card required.
- The progress bar shows minutes used out of your 15-minute trial.
- After the trial unlocks, free use of live and documents drops to a 15-minute and 5-page monthly taster.
- Upgrade any time from the Upgrade link in the trial pip or from Account Settings.
The four workflows
Capsiynau is organised around four workflows. Your plan and trial state decide which are active - locked ones unlock with the 15-minute trial or an upgrade.
- Media captions - upload audio or video, generate captions, edit and export.
- Live captions - caption a live event in real time, with an audience-facing display URL.
- Document translation - upload a PDF or Word document and produce a bilingual version.
- Human-verified review - hand a file to a qualified language professional for end-to-end review.
Locked pillars show a small lock icon and a short note about how to unlock. Clicking a locked pillar takes you to a page that explains what the module does before you decide to upgrade.
