DSAR Policy

Your Right to Access Your Data

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to request access to personal data that Capsiynau holds about you. This is known as a Data Subject Access Request (DSAR).

How to Submit a Request

You can submit a DSAR by:

• In-app — go to Account Settings → Data & Privacy → Request My Data
• Email — send a request to privacy@capsiynau.com

Your request must include: your full name, the email address associated with your account, and details of the information you are requesting. We may request identity verification before fulfilling your request.

What We Will Provide

In response to a valid DSAR, we will provide:

• Personal data associated with your account
• Transcripts and captions generated from your uploads
• Account metadata (project titles, timestamps, usage history)
• Details of how your data has been processed

Data will be provided in machine-readable formats including JSON, CSV and SRT where applicable.

Response Time

We will respond to valid requests within one calendar month as required by UK GDPR. If a request is complex or involves large volumes of data, we may extend this by up to two additional months. You will be informed of any extension.

Deletion Requests

You may also request permanent deletion of your data. When processed:

• All stored transcripts and projects are removed
• Uploaded audio and video files are deleted from storage
• Your account information is removed
• API processing data is cleared where possible

Anonymised system logs required for security or legal compliance may be retained.

Complaints

If you believe your data has been handled incorrectly, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
